Clairton branch/new bridge & viaduct ROW work looks about 94% complete.
Some sections on the line still need CWR. Replacement for
some older/worn stick-rail. Timber safety-cat-walk, yet to be installed?
Scrap-rail, tie plates & other rip-rap ROW stuff to be removed.
At the small Gill Hall Road over-pass, yet another new & stronger steel
re-enforced bright yellow I-bean has been re-installed.
This thing should peel the top off of most large over-height box trucks.
New driver's should beware...
Will do serious damage to careless refuse trucks as well.
Could some direct tank-car traffic to the NS could be moving soon? |

Snap a pic if you can of the first revenue move. It'd be interesting to see. _________________ Eric Schlentner

|
|
... will try, might/may? have happened already?
Sunday morning 10AM. AVR/SWP 3-unit six-ax.-power pulled Glenwood
yard with 30+ mty. tanks, and 1/2 dz. assorted WLE gons-Cov-hopper.
The 3-unit AVR/SWP units made a pick-up at Galvtech* Hays Plant. Eight(8)
loaded coil-cars, and took them & the other cars along for a ride up Streets Run Road
and on to Bruceton Inter-change.
They dropped the mty tanks and assorted other cars (held-on to the coil-loads) on the AVR siding for WE to pick-up.
The only WLE-end pick-up was 23 loaded ballast-cars for the AVR/SWP.
No loaded wet gas tanks.... HMmmmm. |
