Lots of Hi-Line (behind the curtain stuff) is on-going.
JR has almost completed his extensive basement project.
The hardware, big/small
scanners & printers/receiving tables will soon to be placed in his new work area...
Much of the new system software has been purchased and received.
A new complete HP advanced commercial work station has also been received.
Lots of set-up/fine tuning work yet to be completed.
...additional side-note.
Clairton Branch/Peters Creek Bridge: Nikon/photo documenting (every 10 days) or so,
this major WLE Bridge-Viaduct-Branch work project.
As of today, all rail, wood cat-walk, and many bridge deck ties removed.
Two large viaduct sections have been taken down for repair/steel replacement.
Extensive new steel cross supports installed.
Several new cement base(s) for steel structure supports, completed.
Others tested and repaired.
Cement/Concrete Clairton approach side of viaduct completely repaired/rebuilt.
Branch ROW has a new Wheel/Rail Auto.Oiler staged at about MP 1.25.??
just before the branch starts into the hard curves.
The old Cantilever Bridge section over the road & bike/walking trail,
well, not sure ????? if it will receive major repairs? or completely replaced?
.... a nice Hi-Line site
future photo-update-project ? " Way back when, then & now "
Branch project completion date ???
Additional CWR? w/new ROW ballast-grooming-drainage work ??? |

I'd say yinz have been busy. Ew... loading new software. It ain't difficult but, man that can take an awful long time if you have a lot to load.
That's quite the project WE has on its hands. The structure must have been a lot worse than they thought. Wonder if it was one of those "fixed this now we gotta fix that" snowball scenarios? _________________ Eric Schlentner
