On Saturday after finding out that the loaded coke train was OD from Rook at 1100. With track speed west of Gladden now all 40mph it makes WLE harder but more fun to chase. I was able to get the train at Whiskey Run, Bridgeville, West End of Gladden, Hickory Tunnel and Craighead tunnel. Here is two pictures of the train at Bridgeville and Craighead. Also as a note Gladden to Rook should be up to 40mph shortly after some more minor MoW work.

Nice Job on the images, what was the car count, any tanks tacked on the end?
Is the still loaded CWR train sitting in the less busy Rook yard?
...keep-up the interesting posts. |

Thank you, the were 89x0. All coke loads from Monessen
The loaded CWR train should still be in Rook. All the rail is "Junk" so they will be getting new rail |

...whole train of defective CWR? If so, where were all the mill product/plant/R.R.
inspectors ?
Maybe, the time frame for completion of the CWR to Pierce, and
the Clairton ROW/Bridge span issues will require some additional extended time frame adjustments? |

Yes I was told the rail was bent or something. Ill get more details.
This probably will delay work on the Pittsburgh sub, they put some CWR in over the parkway bridge from about MP53.2 to MP52.5 and also took out the walkways and what was left of ties for Kelly siding on the bridge except for one section. Bigham will need lots of work as its a mud pit back there and the CWR wont stay in good shape for long |

The rail train ran 11/4 and 11/5. On 11/4 they laid rail between MP47.7ish to MP44. The next day they got MP44 to MP39.
There should be another rail train with heavier rail for the sharp curves. Sections like from West Liberty Ave. to MP51 got skipped. |
