Peters Creek Bridge (Clairton Branch) work up-date.
Lots of structural-steel-work. Repairs & some new steel support replacement sections
are keeping the private contractor crews busy.
Several new concrete base supports completed,
with others receiving additional repair work.
Both sides cement/concrete Bridge-ROW
approach's may be completely re-built.
Project Completion date ???
New bridge deck replacement, maybe painted,
additional CWR and ROW ballast/grooming when bridge structure work
is completed
Shipments, regular rail traffic patterns, and what type ???
Speculation/conjecture/guess? .....
several new types of wet-gas from
Markwest* facilities Hopedale - Westland for export out of
of NY/NJ ports via NS/WLE inter-change partnership.
Regional WLE more direct and less congested (product loads originate)
route ?
Maybe, open Spot-Market Contracts, Coke/Coke by-products ? |

I think it will be interesting to see what the traffic is. That's an awful lot of money to spend on an all but defunct branch for a couple loads of coke or general interchange. I'm also thinking tank cars to/from both MarkWest facilities. _________________ Eric Schlentner
