The Clairton Branch 8/29/15: the WLE tie gang looks to have completed
the removal of most of the worn tie piles along the ROW and Clairton Yard
area. No additional CWR was observed (staged or in place) from
the Ravensburg tunnel to Pierce. No info, or actual work
noted regarding the Peters Creek Bridge. Several pieces of track-MOW
parked on both sides of Rt. 51 Crossing, and on the short stub spur.

Washington Pa.(ex-B&O Pike-Line) The Main Line 8/29/15 up-date:
New136lbs. CWR, ballast, ties from South end of Whitehall Tunnel to the Bruceton Interchange
is almost complete.
The AVR interchange siding has the new switch's installed, new heavy CWR, Ties, all
down and in place. All that remains is the final layer of ballast and some grooming/tamping
on the new passing/storage siding ROW.
Guess we can expect regular train movements very soon. Maybe some slight operational
changes in regards to exchanging cars/trains at Bruceton ?
AVR/WLE car counts seem just a bit low, however over all, train movements are still
somewhat regular and consistent for both R.R's.
