Hello Group,
I just received some sad news from Railroad Radio, the Pittsburgh Stream
is down and will not be coming back.
This is very sad news for me personally. I live far enough away from
the former P&WV now W&LE main line, that I cannot pickup radio traffic from
my home location. For me, railroad radio was a way of listening in on what
was happening on the old High & Dry along with other lines in the area like
the Union Railroad and the AVR. _________________ Regards,

Rich,
I did a quick check out of curiosity.... Looks like all content on www.railroadradio.net was removed or blocked. The domain doesn't expire until September but I did notice that one status was "Client Update Prohibited". Used to only see that when there is non-payment of hosting services or some other legal dispute. A quick search turns up no info or forum comments anywhere so who knows what happened. _________________ Eric Schlentner

Eric,
I actually contacted the owner of Railroad Radio dot net and he told me the person who maintained the Pittsburgh Stream no longer lives in the Pittsburgh area. I guess where ever the physical antenna, scanner and internet link were located experienced a physical issues? Could be a lighting strike, but he did not comment on what really happened, just the stream when down. The sad news is he is not looking for a replacement stream, sad news but I guess it's his web site. I can tell you I've already deleted the link to his web site, I get enough of class one railroading five days a week at work :D _________________ Regards,
