I'm sure most of you fans are seeing this collection on flicker.
Lots of really neat and interesting images.
So far...only 4pics for P&WV. Hope there's a few more.

P&WV Development @ the
Rehoboth Industrial Park facility.
The Fox Grocery Co. Wrse. The 1st. phase looks in operation.
Just in view next to this structure, looks to be the
start of the Keystone Homes builder site. My guess it is early
summer 1959. Pics taken on, or very near the new Interstate 70 @
Belle Vernon Pa.

one more thing...I believe there are Many-Many
more negs. yet to be posted. I recall years ago,
seeing a bunch of P&WV (old Photo-sat-copies) from a
closet collector. Who some-how got them from St Louis Mo.
(St. Louis Mercantile Library ?)

Always great to see photos of the P&WV, but what I've been wondering for some time now is, does anyone out there have any video of the P&WV? I know Ron at Revelation Video made a nice DVD of the W&LE on the P&WV. I'm wondering if anyone out there has actual P&WV footage? There are several video companies looking for vintage video and with all of the modern digital processing equipment, even so-so videos can have their picture quality improved.

Rich,
Yes, I have a tape (35-Min.) from 1942,
WWII P&WV Co. pomo, #1100 malley cab-view ride(s)
Rook Yard to C'ville. B/W , some parts very poor,
other snips fair-to-good. B/W. Copy given to me by H.Worley in 1989.
Howard copied it from the original 16mm film,
which was in very bad shape.
At this point in time, we don"t want this on the web.
Also, we are working on get'n our hands-on some 8mm(home movies)
several 4-6 min. each, color?.
Rook Yard FM's & #40/#30.circa: 1950's

Opps, ho ya... one more interesting thing.
We do have the 5 1/2 min. color video/from original Kodak 16mm film, of the
Acme Coal Cleaning Plant circa: 1968.
(Gene S. mentioned this a while back)
We plan to put this one up, along with the original 9X12 advertising
poster for the ACME Plant in Avella Pa. circa:1942.
Some neat rare info, for Tom & other scale model fans.

Once you've acquired the 8mm film, have you given any though to contacting a video company like John Pechulis Media http://www.johnpmedia.com/ or Charles Smiley Presents http://www.cspmovies.com/ to have the films professionally transferred to DVD. If there is enough footage, which it sounds like there might be, they could even produce a Rail Fan DVD. I don't know all of the details, but I'd imagine you'd get a percentage of each sale. If you could locate some early N&W video taken on the P&WV, plus any WM footage taken on the P&WV, would add to the demand for such a DVD. Just a thought.

Rich,

Thanks for asking this question. I have often wondered why there is not a peep of video available on the P&WV. Such a prolific line.

I am sure I am not alone in that I would gladly fork out whatever dvds are going for now of some of the footage J mentioned. (prices now range between $25 - $35 even for short 30 minute dvds)

Just glad to even know they exist.

Hope it all sees the light of day sometime in the near future.

Maybe a good way to bulk up the Hi-Line coffers...
