Well. GPS has sent over yet another interesting batch
of P&WV Archives Materials.
Including some interesting,
5X7 B/W Images of P&WV Steel Passinger AC&F
Car-Fleet Circa: 1923.
These are much better than our poor photo-stat copies
we have on file.
Ol'e JR/JZ will try to get these up soon....
P&WV #'s 205, 300, 400, and 500.
Future, will also add some
nice images from the D. Elder Collection,
including "Business Car Specials" pics taken at
Ironville Oh., Oak MP-50, and Brewster(@ the Brick).
...and two interesting-images of P&WV Steel Combo # 300
inside the Wabash Train Shed circa:1925-26.
We also have piles of P&WV Business Car Reports, Letters, Notes,
and Business Car Route-Trip-Plans. We will try to include a few of these as well.
Many Thanks Again to Gene!

The P&WV 1923 Steel Passinger Car Fleet samples are up!
It looks like, by late 1928, almost all of the steel cars were gone.
The Pennsy, as near as we can tell, got em' all. Some paper
work trails relate to some kind of joint-PennRoad* deal.
Maybe some of you Hi-line folks can add more info.???
Next, will try & do some Co. Private Cars.... Pics & lots of
Archive Report Materials. |

Bill.
Yes Sir!
Page 152 "High & Dry Book" has a
small/crop-ed fuzzy Image with info.
... Sam Albright-engineer
Bob Dixon -fireman
F.G. Klassen -Master Mecanic/Roundhouse Foreman.
The Hi-Line Archives has the large "Original Image" that
hung in the Rook Yard Paymaster's office
for many years! A really nice Steam-Era Pic! |

getting back to the photo of crew on # 200 of the President & Directos Special Inspection trip of May 3, 1937. I came upon a photo copy of that photo in a box of my Mother's, strange that almost 7 years after she passed away that I opened it. Just wanted to check to on the other two names, Fritz Klasson and you had Bob Dixon, is that what on your photo, mine had Bill Richardson. I have a feeling this was a copy from a collection of PWV that my Uncle S J Albright had.
Thanks Bill |

Bill,
... yes those are the names on back of this image.
We beleive this original B/W pic, (10 X 16) still framed, was one of
several, that hung in the original Rook Yard Office/Paymasters
building. Credit Gene S. & Bill P. for saving these, and a few other assorted framed images
as well. |
