Hello Fellow Hi-Liners, I just found out Atlas has a new "N" scale 2-Bay Offset Side Hopper in production in P&WV paint.

Better yet, they have a three pack with the following numbers:

Pittsburgh & West Virginia #104 #142 #179

and two single car numbers of

Pittsburgh & West Virginia #112
Pittsburgh & West Virginia #161

Which will give us 5 different car numbers right out of the box.

Their lettering is better than most P&WV cars I've seen out there, hard to tell from the lo-res web image. It certainly is passable in N scale. I should pick one up and compare it to what we've done so far. The data stenciling isn't the right font - the as-builts had more of a vertically oriented hardware store style roman stencil font, not the more common rounded version. The image isn't sharp enough to compare the logo so the jury is out on that. First glance... not bad. Differences would be more obvious in larger scales, though. If I manage to remember to get one, I'll give it more of a critique and post back here.
