Need some help... car info/Image on the thirteen(13) 50' dbl. Door box-cars
P&WV #1500-1512 leased from the Nickel Plate Road.
NKP- box car series #86600-86799?
These cars all had DF loading devices for
Auto-part loads. ( road poll service with NKP,P&WV,WM )
We think all these lease-cars were painted Black with
white P&WV reporting marks.

P&WV AFR report 4/23/63 shows NKP car # 86602, 86656, 86661, 86721
and 85751 with Evans DF equipment installed returned to the NKP.

Total of 11 cars were returned by 10/64.
Two(2) #1511-1512
were listed on the N&W roster 1/65.

Car #1503-1504 info Link:

86000-86199 AC&F, built 1949 per NKP Historical Society

85751 Doesn't appear to be a valid number.

The side sills don't look like normal AC&F, though...

Apologies to P&WV fans, this topic kinda went off board in a flurry of emails. To catch everybody up, here's what we think we know (which ain't much but more than before):

These were Ralston Steel Car Co. cars built in Columbus, OH. We think it may be likely that the cars are from the 87100 to 87199 series built in 1942. If they had the Evans SKI Racks for loading Fisher bodies, it would put them in the rebuilt, renumbered 88100-88153 series. Don't know the history of those.

If there are any NKP fans in the group that can help clarify any of this mystery, let us know.
