Does this bring up any memories for anyone?

Was once located in the West End just below the P&WV tracks.

Hi Rich,
Look on page 74 of Gene's "The Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway" The East End for a scene that will never again be repeated. Don't you also have some video from this location?

Guys, got some good video with nice radio chatter...
Tim McGrogan & Harry Buck out of Longview (Mifflin with 9-loads of Pipe) with a
stop @ the Belt-Jct.
Picked-up 21 flat-car (A&K rail) loads for then... 3-Rivers.
Two matching W&LE GP-35's D-brakes screaming, bell & horn
Blaring.
Got'm over the top of the Diner and on the bridge approach to
the busy Stuben St. Crossing.
Tim put on a great show for the P&WV video man.
Even Harry... was VERY pleasant that day!
Late Summer/Fall 95'???

No, don't have this up-loaded yet.

We did another tape-to-disc transfer some time ago.
(similar to the past you-tube bunch) Includes this subject &
more West-end, Belt Jct. Longview/Mifflin & Monessen
clips circa: 93' to 96'???.

Rich,

Sorry for the late reply on your inquiry.

No, never got any trains in the west end.

I live in South Fayette and can report lots of activity at night.

Heard two trains west the other night within an hour of each other and two tonight within a short time.

Mark West must be cranking along because you can hear those diesels drumming for miles away all through the late hours.

Hi Rich,
Do you live near Cuddy or National Hill? I think I told you before my grandparents lived on what use to be called Parks Road, but I think they call it Alpine road now. When they built the four lane PA 50 over National Hill, they renamed some of the roads.

Anyway trying to get back on topic, how many trains is the W&LE running over the old P&WV now between Pittsburgh Jct and Rook? and how many run during daylight hours? From what I've heard, none of the trains run on a set schedule, but is there anyone time of the day that you have a good chance of catching a train on the P&WV?
