The May /June issue of O Scale Trains contains an article by Larry Kline on modeling USRA gons. Several PWV prototype and model photos are included. My favorite is the shot of an early gon with arch bar trucks and Pittsburgh and West Virginia spelled out of the side.
I hope Larry continues with more articles featuring PWV. |

Jim,
I'm glad you liked the article. I also wrote an article about modeling postwar AAR boxcars that appeared in the Jan/Feb 2008 issue of O Scale Trains. One of the models is a P&WV 1200 series car in the as delivered paint scheme.
These two articles cover almost all of my P&WV freight car models but I may write an article about my recently completed model of Longview station.

Larry,
...we did not see the latest gon story yet, but the "Longview Station"
is a very nice scratch-build model. For those who have not
seen this "Little O' scale Gem" it's proto-type correct, both
inside & out! Got a lot of interest at the past NMRA event.
Well worth another nice P&WV story line!
