Oh ya, it's true - the P&WV Heritage paint scheme on a spanking new [edit] SD70ACes.
So here's our final appeal:
We haven't yet run across the original DuPont or PPG paint numbers for the chrome yellow and red used on the FMs. If anyone has any scrap or thread of information on these numbers that can point us at something/someone to chase down, it would be greatly appreciated. We do have the digital replications, just not the real thing. We're going for accuracy.
Thanks much in advance.

Hi Jayrod,
I know it maybe a long shot, but have you tried contacting Fairbanks Morse to see if by chance they still have this info on file?
Regards,

Good suggestion. I've contacted FM - waiting for a response. I'm certainly not holding my breath, though. In my experience, these historical requests are pushed way on the back burner, if you even get a response at all. Some companies are great to deal with (like NS). I've got my fingers crossed... |
