And yet another graphics project update... OMG - WHEN WILL IT END? Well, not soon folks. Sorry.

Here's a sample of the 27"(?) stenciled logo as appeared on the NE cabs when first assembled at Rook. It's very similar to the logo as used on the Baldwin VO1000 #30 earlier and some other equipment repainted abut that time.

If we can find the stylized International Car Company logo from the '50s somewhere, we'll be just about ready to release full sets of graphics for both the NE and later ICC cabs. If anyone has any suggestions on where to look for the ICC logo, please point us in the right direction.

Once again, criticism welcome.

JAYROD Hoooweeeee...nice stuff!
This is yet another reason
why the web-masters put this large Logo Project on the back burner!

We have had many "reporting mark" coversations over the past 15yrs or so,
with a bunch of o'le PWV hats, R.R. historians, and related scale model folks.
Based on the few P&WV employees... shop-men & car-knockers that
could recall rolling-stock & power in the steam-era days, and Archives Materials all point to this quote from the late Tim McCready:

We really don't know for sure if there was any one(1) formal pattern
for these early logos. Some speculation & conjecture based on the few
images and bits & pieces of original archive materials, this is our thought:

Maybe, 1 or 2 original "pounce patterns" that were used to make a basic stencil, a
paint shop man who "may" have had a bit of expierence with assorted (Sign-Shop) fan brush's
simply
filled-in and put the finsh touchs on each logo applied.
We would not be suprised if any two of these early logos were the "exact" same.
Keep in mind, the P&WV was not like the (Pennsylvania Railroad & others),
setting strict standards in lettering, color & logo were
not a high priority in 1930/40's. Trying to make a profit ($money$) was!!!

Based on all this information,
JAYROD has made this design call, He's our graphics guy!
We may never know 100% for sure.... but, we would bet he is indeed correct!
