Due Monday December 12 from the printers, a new black & white (Duotone) pictorial book
covering the W&LE's first decade of operations
from 1990 up through the year 2000.
Coverage focuses on the Pittsburgh & West Virginia beginning at
Pittsburgh Junction in eastern Ohio. We follow the former P&WV
dow nthrough Smithfield, across the Ohio River, cross the West Virginia PanHandle, enter Pennsylvania as we pass Avella, Hickory and on into Rook . Coverage continues eastward as we travel down the West End, Mifflin and Clairton Branches before a side trip down the former Monessen Southwestern as we approach Connellsville. Once on Chessie, its up and over the mountain at Sand Patch, then through Cumberland before we stop side by side with NS power at Hagerstown.
This new pictorial is 144 pages, 12"x9", hardcover with dustcover.

Yes, very busy but also quite pleased with this publication.
All totaled, a full year from start to finish...
I changed printers due to complete and utter ignorance with the last printer.
I also did a majority of the layout this time around.
Sadly, a couple typos slipped through as much as I tried for this not to happen.
The prepress process is a learning experience.
The printers prepress folks need held by the hand each step of the way.
And I found out even this doesn't always work properly.
My goal with these books is to not only share what I have been a part of for so many years, but to make available a special gift for anyone to enjoy at Christmas.
Christmas has always been a exciting time in my life...
So much to be thankful for.
And sharing it at this special time of the year is always of extreme importance to me.
