Hello Group,
I just joined and thought I'd start off by saying hello. Even though I'm a new member, I'm a long time fan of the P&WV / N&W Connellsville District. A little bit about me; my maternal Grandparents lived on National Hill above Cuddy. When visiting them, one of my favorite train watching locations was the bridge shown on page 339 lower photo, of the Pittsburgh & West Virginia Railway “The Story of the High and Dry” book by Worley & Poellot. Unfortunately, my earliest memories of the High & Dry are of Blue and Black High Hood N&W diesels plying the rails of the P&WV. At that time though, the P&WV was a busy railroad and Gladden siding was a busy place. If I wasn't standing on the bridge, I was in my Grandparents front yard waving at the crews of the passing trains and I always received a wave back. Maybe it's their fault (just kidding) I grew up with an interest in railroading that has since become a career.

Regards,
Rich S.
