Looks like the Mifflin-Branch is now getting some much needed ROW attention.
Lots of ballast(both lite & heavy), some new S.H. rail (curves) and surface work,
with some new tie, plate & spacer-bar(guage) re-placements.
Also, new(LED) road flashers/cross-bucks w/bell-tone have been installed on McAnulty Rd. crossing.
Could the long dormant Clairton Branch be next????

If we get a chance(Fri/Sat.?, JR/JZ will inspect both Branchs and shoot some images of the work .

Well, walked some more of the branch this A.M. Something is going to happen soon.
Saw PENN-DOT truck, with WE signal-man @ the RT. 51 grade crossing.
Looks like several Hi-Rail visits made up & down the line.
Lots of NEW Orange-dot marks on a great many ties to be replaced. Worn rail on curves have been marked as well.
We heard that S.H. rail, new ties, surface ROW work planned.
Will MOW work crews begin when the Mifflin Branch job is completed?

Type of Rail Traffic??? Still have not heard any official word.
Rumor mill...some sand, stone, LP gas and.... maybe coke & coke by-products? Again, just a rumor... guess!

Nice job on the small-bridge replacement, was very impressed new-er S.H. stick-rail,
heavy ballast and surface work. Several worn ties in this new re-worked-area are also marked.
