FYI

There is an interesting article currently on ebay from Modern Railroads Magazine about the diesel shops at Rook.

Nice! Did not know that story was out there.
JR tells me that we may have all this original material with prints(Dale Elder Collection).
It's sometimes very difficult to keep track, and remember all that is in the P&WV Archives.

BTW,
How is the New Historical Document Pages (PDF format) working out?
We have got only a very small amout of feed-back so far.

This picture appears to be 1949 Rook Carpenter Gang doing the work of resurfing the floor. The man in the top coat appears to be the image of Engineer MofW R.S. Anderson and the man next to him Carpenter Gang Foreman Pat Stephens.

JZ and JR,

I have had no trouble downloading the PDF documents. They're very interesting. Thanks for scanning them and making them available on the HiLine Web Site.

Gentleman,

I too have enjoyed the documents posted and they are easy to navigate in pdf.

I must admit I have not had much time lately to read through much.

Putting all those files online continue to make this site an invaluable resource for rail fans.

Thank you for your efforts!
