When mines # 1, 2, and 3 were in operation, did they send there coal to the prep plant near Avella for cleaning? Thanks, Dave |

Dave ,
Not very likely any coal from these mines went to the ACME plant.
The PGH. Term. Coal Corp. Mines(1,2,3,) may have been played out by this time.
New Avella facility when in full production mode served only some local and eastern Ohio mines.
In the Archive box's GPS has sent appear to have tons of information on ALL the early WSB/P&WV/WPT mines & operations.
Join us this Spring as we begin to sort thru all this stuff.
BTW,
A folder on top of one box has interesting info on BENICOLL Mine team tracks.
Letter(s) & Drawing of a decated spur track to the Pgh. Railways Jct.
The spur was for the delivery of assorted railway materials for street car operations (folder info.Circa 24',29', 31'). |
