We have some interesting pics of ABB (Akron Barberton Belt) SW1200 #1203
working Rook Yard, @ Bower Hill and the Bridgeville turn (Reichold Chemical Plant).
The crew was T. McGrogan and H. Buck (complete with his P&WV shirt). The WE was using this little unit as the Yorkville Switcher,
before being replaced by GP-38 #102. I have lost all the data info on these prints, my ol'e brain thinks this was July 96'???
W&LE cab# 518581 is also in this group of images.
So....Hey Gene, or anyone else, can you confirm this date and add any more info before we do the Current-Era up date?
Thanks .

Jerry;
Finally found the date for Akron Barberton Belt 1203.
August 1993 calendar shows the 1203 going back to Brewster as it burned up its main generator while working in and around Rook.

Wow , I guess it's been that long! Sounds like a better date, we will run with the 93' Aug.
JR will start this week with the current up-date. About 10 images or so (ABB on the P&WV).
Also a nice add-on for the 1922 report, builders photo of wood cab #804. A new Hi-Line isssue up date, July 57'
and an interesting assortment from the Elder collection as well. Lots of neat HI-Line stuff to kick off the summer!
Thanks again VW,
JZ. |
