We have added a group of photos of the MSW from our collection and from one of our members. If anyone else has P&WV or related photos they would like archived on our site please let us know. Hope everyone enjoys the update.
We will put the Montour photos in our archives next week.

I've been watching the old MSW 27 work every day on my way to and from work over at the Three Rivers yard. I guess it's been hauling cars with salt to the yard, which they then put on barges and ship downriver.

Does anyone know if these cars orignate down the P&WV? I've seen similar cars crossing the Mon River bridge.

It's possible. But those cars you see may be from the "grain train." I think the bulk of those cars comes in on CSX. And its more than just salt they unload!! The day I was taking pics of the 27 at the rail-river terminal, they were transloading baking soda from a rr car to a tanker truck headed for NY

WOW! These photos are awesome!! You know, with he advent of the internet over the last several years, it has made it much easier to gain info on lines like the P&WV and the MSW. If it weren't for people like JR & JZ who keep this up and running, we'd still be in the dark about stuff like this. I know I sure as heck would be. Keep up the good work!
