Miflin Jct, I have been working on Mifflin Jct on my layout. It is the last section that was bare plywoon. I have scratch built the Mifflin Station and The union station plus my version of Tube City9 Which is based on Grant Steel located in Duquesne across from the Union Hump Yard. The Mifflin yard is operated with the P&WV bring in cars and the Montour and active interchange with the Union. Hope you enjoy the pictures. I will post the pictures in the gallery

Tom,
Will look forward to the 1:87 scale " Mifflin " Yard.
I live about 3-miles away, WSB/P&WV/N&W/NS/W&LE,
the Mighty M. & Union R.R Branch & Yard.
Lots of history, with interesting transfer/interchange
action (movements today: two or three days a-week WLE ).

BTW, have been working on a new Hi-Line 1:87 diorama exhibit.
20" X 30" (large for Me) Longview Yard M.P, 46.1
Complete with kit/scratch/bashed laser-cut, resin/brass etc. Very detailed prototype
structures circa: 1954-55'.
All info based on Original Images, drawings,
diagrams, and paper-work from the P&WV archive collections.

CMP shops* Lonvgiew Station Kit, code 83-70 track, # 6 turnout, all correct CTC
signals/cabinets etc. Out-house, MOW shed, car-inspectors-shed, power lines
and nice assorted Longview yard-stuff. With extreme correct paint & detail work.

A full year's work so far, now 80% in total completion....
JR/JZ Hi-Line photo image-shoot in the very near future.

tom,
our Hi-line Gallery* pages is under-going a major software up-date
program site change. JR is doing all the hi-tech.-work on this page and the BB.
When this software installation project is complete should be easy,
fast, less trouble posting new info/ images etc..

Our Hi-Line site cover, & menu pages are also receiving needed software
and graphic update changes. Really big, time-consuming/complex job.

For now, just post your images on the BB in the present way.
I'll have JR (our resident-software -tech mgr.) post a reply.

JZ.

I was in Mifflin Yard recently - so many changes from years ago. Only 4 interchange tracks remaining compared to my 1st visits in the 1970's. The former Westinghouse facility where the retired PAAC (South Park) skybus car rests has expanded quite a bit taking some of the former yard tracks - not to mention they have camera's everywhere. Tube CIty trackage is now quite impressive as it looks as if they have had their entire railroad rebuilt with 115 pound rail.
