We were in Avella, PA. We visited the nearby Meadowcroft Village, which was closed and under some type of renovation.
They have, on display, Nickel Plate Road Cab #1155 built by the American Car & Foundry Co. in 1909. Later, in 1964,
when the N&W took over it became the Norfolk and Western #559155.
On 4/78 it was on display at the Meadows Lands race track entrance in Washington, Pa. It was relocated to Meadowcroft Village, date unknown by us.
Looking at the photos this cab could use some restoration work. It has not been kept up and has some rotting wood and other damage.
Just a mere 3 miles away is the newly restored Avella Station. Wouldn't this cab look nice on display at the Avella Station. Check out the photos below.

Is that an old passenger car under the tarp? And does anyone know who the current owners of both cars are?

Keep your fingers crossed.
I photogaphed both the caboose and coach at the Meadowlands
probably in 1976 or 1978 and have that slide "somewhere" here.

I got'em crossed and my toes too!
P&WV 262, 828 and those other two things on Rt.18. We need to
keep pushing....
That's an all steel 6-wheel private car under the tarp. I think (??), it may be the one that
sat up at the Ol'e Becks Charter Oaks location near Greentree Rd(Scott Twp) in the earily 1960's.
One of the girls at the A.D. White Center has more info on this piece.
Meadowcroft got 2 million$, all we want is a few moves and about $150,000 to finish the job(s).
