The P&WV Hi-Line

On my way back from my annual Co. and DOT medical exam, I was able to catch the Ohio Central going thru Carnegie Pa.
The Geep and five,
100 ton cov. hoppers look to be headed for Washington Pa. this was about 11:A.M.
Still on Co. time, I headed up to Rook yard. Interesting? Spotted a long string of IPSX quad (MTY)
open hoppers that look to be a fresh drop-off. Are these cars headed for the AVR/B&P transfer at Bruceton Interchange???
Could we see another hopper move on the Ol'e B&O?
Still on the Co. clock I was headed over to Jefferson Medical offices to drop off and pick up more paper work,
and of course this drive took me past the Bruceton Interchange.
The AVR/SWP had just dropped
off 7 cars(for the WE), and was getting into position three cars to be pick-up on their(AVR) return from Wahington Pa.
(this should happen about 5:30/6:00 or so .
Also at the stub-end of the AVR line they have dropped off about 500' of heavy welded rail, (stub extention work) one would think...

Bruceton down on the B&O near the new connection switch there is 2 strands, brand spanking new 136 pound rail, recently welded from 3 pieces into 1 long strand now about 150 feet long.

Not sure where its gonna go...

Hey GPS, did you take some pics? What do you think of those hoppers at Rook?
Hmmm...maybe, Sunday morning, JR/JZ will take a little ride, take Mr. Dig' along....

Just a guess, stored?
There is also 45-50 of the BN hoppers there, stored.
Guess the BN hoppers...lettered WE are in the Bellfield Boiler pool?
This time of the year on the Montour was Miners 2 week Vacation...?
