There is an interesting article in todays Post Gazette, buried in the back of the business section. It talks about how the Union Pacific's Bailey Yard handles the 150 trains that come through every day, using "Pit Crews" consisting of five-man teams to move through and provide "express lube" service to get the trains back out of the yard as quickly as possible.

Pretty interesting read. Here's the online version.
