Clairton Branch at about 2:30?? or so, a NS detour train with 5 Units?? and about 90 cars going down to Clairton interchange derailed. The power did stay on the rails along with about 6 cars that were on the head-end. 9 cars mostly loads are on the ground, between( MP1. and MP2), no haz-mat conditions. The NS power with a WE crew took the head-power & cars down to the inter-change. The weight of the heavy units spread the rails(no suprise). Six or so cars did make it before the rail completely laid-down and cars began to go on the ground. Location is just past a gentle S-curve, and right on the next hard curve. The rest of the train is still sitting on the branch behind the de-railed cars. Track speed was 5mph. due to conditions. all cars are up-right.
I am down loading about 25 or so nice images as soon as time permits we will post.
