[Edited] We've been working with Bluford Shops this week on P&WV USRA hoppers in N scale modeled after the 1000 car order to Cambria Steel Car in 1923. Not sure which car numbers will be done yet. These cars had the Pittsburgh & West Virginia spelled out. Just about all the artwork is done. They should be released this spring, two car numbers. On a side note, a fair portion of these cars lasted into the rebuilding with channel side posts. We'll keep you posted....

Very good news for us N scalers :-) I have several of their hopper cars and a couple of their transfer cabooses and have not been disappointed with any of their products. Since I'm on their mailing list, hopefully I'll get an email update when these cars can be pre-ordered. Thanks Eric and the Hi-Line crew for all the hard work you guys have been doing, to help bring accurate P&WV models to market.

Yes sir,
O'le Jayrod's graphic work is darn near historical perfect!!!
The modelers should really enjoy the look of these N-scale hoppers.
...hope the screen Co. printing the run does these little 50-ton hoppers graphic justice.

Good news: I reviewed the final layout of the artwork this morning and I have to say, these cars should be among the most accurate P&WV cars produced so far. Being N scale, you'll need a magnifying glass to read everything on the car. Hats off to Bluford Shops for taking the time to work with us to get it right.

Yep E-man,
now, if we can find the correct RED for the twin -hoppers, and the few
bright-Red boxcars... maybe, just maybe,
(Manufactures N, HO, and O.) who incorporate your correct lettering graphics,
could produce really nice ready-to-roll model(s).

BTW,
we might get lucky, and find some clues in the Struther's Oh.
Archive haul. Also, if all goes well, plan to attend the
Castle Shannon 2018 event. Maybe bring the assorted 1:87 kit-bashed P&WV MOW model(s) as well.

...still in the hunt JZ.

Pre-orders are now open and will close on March 1. Delivery is expected in autumn of 2018. MSRP is $24.95 per car.

well,
old eyes can hardly see fine detail in 1:87.
However, maybe I'll start looking thru my blue 95'
" Geo-Metro ", for loose change!
Retired & Happy, still roll'n them pennies & nickels to feed the little
choo-choo habit...

If I remember correctly, when you open the door to drag your left foot going down hills, the friction probably jiggles your leg enough to shake the change out of your pants pocket. So, under the front seat would be a good place to look.

Or did you get the dynamic brakes fixed on that thing?

With the reshuffle of Chinese factories going on, the cars are on hold until things get resettled and production resumes at another plant. Watch Bluford Shops website for updates.

Darn it.
