A few of the almost finished 1:87 P&WV JZ/stuff.
These are custom painted/weathered/kit-bashed/etc.
and two(2) scratch-built side-dump cars.
30yd. 70-ton, re-paired/re-built DIFCO, MOGOR. PACCOR
samples somewhat close to
Wheeling-Pgh. Steel Co. MSW R.R. and Mingo Jct. models
circa: early 1950's.

Think? they turned out kind'a-nice....
thought we would share.
..and yes, we do have a many, many, more P&WV models on tap from this first photo-shoot.
_______________________________________________________

1;87 scale Locations are all on the current High & Dry Line.

Photo Image #1 Monessen Works

Photo #2 Clairton Branch, about 2.70 miles from Pierce,
near Noble J. Dick Corp. and the
Hiram Swank & Sons specialty Steel-Mill fire Brick Co.
passing/storage/spur, on the Clairton Branch Main.
Circa: mid-1950's.

BTW,
Only reason I started to finish these little projects was
JR's great NEW Camera(s)/Lens/Program(s) and a custom
studio & lighting home -basement room!!!!! Now -In -Service!

Enjoy!
JR/JZ.

Hard to believe, for those who asked, but the dump cars started
out as these two types of 1962 toy train models.

And this one:

Lots of major kit-bash work, cutting, re-placing scale-add-on's etc.
BTW, both ( now shorter )side-dump-cars function well.
Still undecided on what reporting marks they may receive.

JZ.

Hmmm..... You may be inspiring me to squirt a bit of pigment around. I have a couple N-scale mikes that need the P&WV treatment.

Is the crane a Walthers model? I have an undecorated kit crane that looks like this and may just need to become part of the P&WV maintenance fleet

yep, a very old/early Walthers undec/un-powered kit.

Not a complete proto-type model match, but a nice
overall kind -of-look...
Lots of extra add-on details, with custom P&WV paint & decals.
Shadows don't show the Kadee code 88 wheel/truck detail.

Clam-shell-bucket is scratch/kit bashed parts etc. to match
the prototype.
The P.604(flat-car) is close to the prototype images.
The wood & Steel load/un-loading ramp, most often hauled with
the various MOW CAT tractors D-4, D-5 and the CAT Hyster.
Two-piece ramp is also a good proto-type match.
