I'm planning to do a scaled down model of the bridge in Valley Inn/Baidland. I've got the length and height dimensions already figured out, mostly what I'm asking for help with is, the size of the steel I Beams used on the center of the bridge, so I can scale it down to HO scale (1:87) thickness.

Ooooo... That's a good question. I don't know if there are any engineering drawings of it in the cache from Mad River. JZ would know. Otherwise, if I had good images that included something with known dimensions - hopper, boxcar, I may be able to scale it somewhat and get you sort of close.

I ended up drawing some HO scale blueprints for it. I used my best guestimate and confirmed with a friend, and the I beams look to be 3/8ths in HO scale. If there is any interest, I can send the drawings, after I do a "clean set" of them....a set that I didn't scribble out mis drawn lines, glue marks, etc.
