Bob,
Click on the below direct Link:

The Hi-Line has about 1,500 images in the Historic Pages. Bowser Model folks have showed some interest in
AS- 616 #40. Maybe? Late 2018 ....if it happens at all.

A P&WV #40 could appeal to PRR fans as well. If you hear that Bowser has an interest, I'll whip out some artwork. Maybe I'll contact them and just offer and maybe move them along??? _________________ Eric Schlentner

Might be a very good idea to contact
these folks again. Several nice E-mail conversations
about 18 months ago or so...
They had great success with the PWV Hopper Run.
They talked about a High-end AS 616 #40 and
the VO 1000 #30.

Maybe timing is good now, whip-up some
graphics for both of these Baldwin units.
Attach the direct image links from the Hi-Line.
P&WV model fans may also help! Call, E-mail, Letter etc.
These folks do like feed-back.

You won't get #30 with the yellow strip - they'd have to modify the die. However, if you wanted to make a grill plate on an undec model, then I may be game for decal art.
I do have art for the original paint job except for what was stenciled on the air reservoir - can't read it. _________________ Eric Schlentner

well,
not real sure that placement of the Rad.
sheet-metal-cover would pose a complete dye re-placement.
Did an old/early Stewart/Bowser kit VO-1000, and simply used
a trick that the late L. Kline suggested/showed me.
Using very fine-sheet-styrene & custom hot air -dryer gun nozzel,
some super -glue...
and the 25yo +++. Stewart/Bowser shell match-up the proto-type well.

As for the AS-616, did an early Stewart 25yo.+++ undec. model.
Enlarged the Frame(added-more beefy-scale-thick-look) Replaced all the original
model grabs, ladders, end/side rails with very fine scale-parts.
Replaced Horn (proper position) added sun-shades, wind deflectors.
Finally Air-Brushed the Custom Stripes. Did use some early Jack C.
P&WV logo decals. Drilled/tapped for clear-MV-Head-light/Classification Lens. Still not happy with these...
Unit needs more correct custom MU post/connections etc., maybe cut away molded
air -tank/fuel area and replace with a more scale look parts.
(yet another unfinished JZ model project.)

BTW, November, 1994 Railroad Model Craftsman Magazine, did a P&WV
feature/cover story, on page 5, nice (but-small) image of #40.
These models have not/never been operated since this
visit. Pgh. Model R.R. Society H.O. Mon-Valley-System,
