Is the new HO scale Pennsy 2-8-0 by Broadway Limited a match for the ones the P&WV bought off the Pennsy? If so , has anyone detailed one out yet for the P&WV? I've been out of the loop awhile, but with great reason. Our daughter Naomi was born 8-14-15 and it's been a wild ride since !

If I recall, those were a couple of beaters that were bought from DT&I during WWII and were put to work without any major modification by P&WV. Only lasted five years. If you detail them as PRR class H10s with the Lines West tenders, you should be close. I don't know if DT&I did any modifications. The following histories should be close to correct:

PRR #8273, built by Juniata Shops as class H8a in 1908; rebuilt to H10s in 1916; sold to DT&I as #402 in 1929 after PRR bought DT&I from Ford in 1929; purchased by P&WV in 1942 as #402; retired 1947.

PRR #8648, built by BLW as class H8a in 1910; rebuilt to H10s for PCC&StL in 1916; sold to DT&I as #405 in 1930 after PRR bought DT&I from Ford; purchased by P&WV in 1942 as #405; retired 1947.

we have in the Hi-Line collection, early 1942 B/W production film of the 1102
run, Rook to C'ville, A nice interesting Rook Yard segment of P&WV/DTI
# 402 working Rook Yard. Interesting, sharp/clear of the 2-8-0 DTI with (3-D Stainless Steel
Logo) in a full & close-up 20 sec. shot segment .

... at some point JR/JZ will clean/adjust/post this P&WV 1942 WWII promo R.R. film
in 10 min. parts for all Hi-Line fans to enjoy.
