As of 5PM. 9/17/16 we have not had reports or observed any
wet-gas tank car movements over any portion of the Clairton Branch.
Some speculation/conjecture & observations....

Looks like the final phase of the Clairton Branch re-build is in full-swing.
Large Pa. Crossing: several CWR & Row equipment is staged on the
Pierce side of the Crossing.

Clairton side, short MOW stub siding has a new switch (getting Installed)
along with bunch of new ties-rail-ballast work. The stub is now staged-full,
with CWR/Row/MOW equipment. A new pedestrian X-ing is being installed as well.
Along the Peters-creek-bank in this same area, lots of
creek-erosion is being addressed. About 200 tons or so of very large
lime-stone boulders has been dumped/placed in this part of the creek-bank.
We hear that several more stone loads are on order.

Much of the old-worn ROW stick rail that is still in place, will be removed very soon. Additional New/SH. CWR to be installed.
Clairton Yard, the large WLE blue crane & gon are staged in
the yard. Along with several other ROW, hi-rail MofW equipment.

NS connection, several pieces of NS track & MofW equipment staged
very near the connection switch. Also several large piles of new ballast
is near-by. On the WLE side of the crossing additional new ballast has been
dumped on the hard-curve leading up to the interchange yard.

The P&WV Mainline,
much of the old worn scrap stick rail, tie plates, rail-joints & other stuff
is in the process of being picked-up West of Pierce MP39.8 and taken to the Bruceton Interchange
were it's piled/sorted for gondola car removal.
Some parts of the main-line still have a few sections of S.H. CWR
laying near the ROW. Maybe? these sections of CWR that are not worn will find use on the Clairton branch????

Also, at Bruceton are several pieces of newer Rail-Tie-Ballast-Surface
equipment to perhaps begin the grooming of the main-line Pierce-West to
MP57. ????

...this is all we have for now, can anyone add or correct above posted material\?
