A private Contractor has been hired to tear-down/remove
the wood frame P&WV Bruceton Station.
Demolition equipment is now staged on site.
The sad work is set for tomorrow 6/25/15 at about 9a.m. or so.
Contractor estimates about two(2) hours to "knock-down"
the structure, and a day to haul the demolished materials away.
Only the cement slab base will remain, for now...

SOoooo, the few P&WV Hi-Line fans who are interested in one last look
may want to do so(Very Soon) this late afternoon /eve.
Yet another chapter of P&WV history is about to fade away...

JZ.

Sadly the station is now gone, demo started around 11am. I wish I would have gotten more pictures while it was still standing.

If I recall, VW said that there was a hole in the roof. If that was the case, it was probably too far gone to save anyway - termites and rot from rain getting in. I don't like to see any old building demolished, railroad or otherwise. It's like erasing a piece of local history and all the lives and stories that went with it.

A bunch of years ago I measured and took photos of inside and outside. Two of old P&WV employees where inside and let me video tape them. If I can find the DWG I will post them
