We have put up some more photos of the Clairton Branch work. You can access them here.

About 90% of the ties are marked for replacement. Did not see any new Switches/Turn-outs, or S.H. rail (Stick/CWR),
no large amounts of Tie-Plates. Some ditching & slide repairs to most of the ROW. The main bridge was re-decked. and some steel structure repairs
were made spring 2005.

How many trains a day is using the Clairton Branch?

Is the Wheeling only moving Coke trains over the branch?

It's always good to see rehab work taking place on the High & Dry.

Jayrod,
Image #21, taken on the Clairton Branch, siding/spur ROW & Rails (whats left of it) of the
old Government Mineral Storage yard, about MP2.8 on the branch.
You can still see much of the 3-track Iron Ore-siding/loading bin/scales ROW.
Very busy in 1958-1961.
Rich,
No train movements as of now, After completion of the ROW rehab. ????
...for now, looks like maybe Contract/Merchant-Coke for the Mittal Steel Plants.
