Clairton Branch 4/24/15 9:30 A.M.
25 or so pieces of W&LE track equipment now
staged at the Rt. 51 grade X'ing. Several more Hi-way motor pool
trucks as well. A few piles ofS.H tie plate and pallets of new spikes
are next to the tie-gang-surface equipment.
Our guess, Monday 4/27, the work begins.

Clairton. The vast U.S. Steel storage space next to the
Clairton WLE yard, is now filling with large piles of Coke.

AVR New Bruceton Siding.
Active ditching/finish-up work. Near South-portal Whitehall
Tunnel, and under the Curry Road Bridge. The last & final new-slag base for
new siding ROW
looks to be almost completed.
No new ties/turn outs on work site yet.
The AVR Main (Whitehall tunnel to Bruceton inter-change)
to receive some tie work and the stick rail replaced with new CWR as well.

Nice to see the amount of traffic now warrants some track work. At on time, I thought they were gonna pull it up.
