Location scouting, 3:00 - 4:15 P.M. a quick first hand look/stop/observation of the
ROW activity on the Clairton Branch and the AVR/WLE Bruceton
location.
Clairton Branch: observed no rail/tie /ballast work from
the Rt.51 grade-Xing to Pierce MP.-39.7
* RT.51 to Clairton Yard ????
However, at the old U.S. Gov. Ore/Minerial Storage location
MP. 2.2 , some ditching, and general clean-up dirt/rock/old ballast materials
on both sides of the ROW. Not sure for what reason.\???
Clearly the line has had some very recent MOW rail movements.

Bruceton Interchange: 50+ tanks with two(2) new'er WE
buffer hoppers wait for movement.

AVR Siding/Main line CWR up-date: All work from the main line stub-switch to about 100 yards south of the Curry Road Bridge
have been completely graded, rolled and prep'ed. New -Stacks of
140lbs. (CWR) sections to be welded on site. Now delivered & placed at the North Switch Location.

Tie/rail plates/spikes/ switch, arrive some time this week?
New siding should hold/clear 75 plus 60' tank cars.
...our guess, good weather, materials arrive on time, about
one month, should see new siding movements.

JR/JZ to return very soon for a complete image shoot & post.
