I know during the P&WV Diesel era and the N&W era, Rook crews would take their rest at the Wandle house in Brewster. My question, where did the Brewster crews take their rest at Rook yard? _________________ Regards,

HMmmm...good question, really "old Heads" told stories of visiting crews,
staying in their Road Caboose's. I think there was also a facility near the
Roundhouse for yard/crew rest.
I believe the Main Hotel (bottom of the hill) in Carnegie also
housed lay-over crews. |

Thank you for the Info Bill, very interesting they kept them on the property and didn't put them in a hotel. I'm guessing they had a laborer keep the rooms clean? _________________ Regards,
