Hey! your Web-masters are alive & well!
I guess it's been almost a year since my last visit to Rook.
(i just hate that Parkway/Greentree/Carnegie traffic mess)
Quite a few changes. Most of the old shop buildings are now gone.
looks like the big $$$ yard & track up-grades/expand/improvement project are in full swing.
Is that a new side/running track switch near Forsythe Rd. for double-track, going
over the Wiskey-run bridge?
Sunday, Sept 15th @ 7:30 a.m. The yard was completely packed!
Two crews(Road-Yard) busy sorting cars.
At the east-end I could just make out
lots of new rail, ties, switch's and a bunch of track & ROW grading
equipment for the yard project taking a Sunday Morning rest.
Big Changes! Jez...who would have ever thunk-it!
.... Ol'e JR's back from the NC shore, I'm back from
a bunch of Summer jaunts as well. We hope to post
some nice Hi-Line Archive materials next week-end.

JZ, I second your dislike of the Carnegie / Greentree / Parkway traffic, but it sounds like I need to pay a railfan visit to Rook. It's been several years since I've been to Rook and it sounds like I'm way over due for a visit. _________________ Regards,
