****Well, ... see the IM folks have again (no suprise) pushed back the Off-set
Hopper project Delivery date, (Now June 2013). Most likely a much later
date for any P&WV cars. Our guess, late
fall 2013.
As for the P&WV 70-ton covered hoppers, who knows.******

P&WV H.O. scale Alternate-Standard offset hoppers
for March 2013 target release date.
These should be the most-correct P&WV 60-ton open hoppers to date.
6#'s.... Very nice job on the style/details, data, reporting marks & graphics.

As these appear to be the early 50's rebuilds of the 1947 ACF cars, we do have the correct logo. It wouldn't be too hard to knock off the rest of the stencils, reporting marks, and numbers for accuracy...
Some of these rebuilt cars did have yellow stirrups, grab irons, etc. Wonder if any of Intermountain's chosen numbers did?

|

I think the Inter-mountain image/artwork might be
a first draft?
J-man, maybe we should get back to these Intermountain folks.
Suggest the "complete" historical & correct graphics that will match
the prototype images we have in the Hi-Line collection.
Send them some nice samples...and maybe include a CORRECT
"Alphabet Route " Red Car, as well.
...hate to see your
great historical & correct graphics project not used!
Now would be a good time to make sure this run is
done right the first time!

I wonder who's arm has to be twisted to get them to also do the cars in "N" scale? Thanks for the link JZ, I'll also be keeping my fingers crossed that maybe we might see these cars in "N" scale as well? _________________ Regards,

Hi-line fans,
We (JZ/Jayrod will follow-up)) have began an initial dialog with the
Intermountain folks. I guess it's now a "wait & see" response.
Everyone interested must call/e-mail IM!
Rich, would not be suprised at some future point, see an N-scale run(s).
A P&WV car may be included???. However, one would think a factor
would be how well the 1:87 scale model(s) do. |

Well, maybe some good news....
Jayrod & JZ got some good positive response(s) from the
IM folks in regards to the new 6# run of P&WV open hoppers.
Jayrod is busy making final adjustments to the Logo &
all reporting marks etc. The artwork to be sumitted/used
will be both historical & graphic correct design for each car.
These are for 1:87 scale, However, would not be suprised to see some
N scale stuff in the future as well. Keep your fingers crossed.
Will up-date and provide more info as this project rolls-along. |

It's official... The cars are scheduled for release in March with our logo and slogan.
Also, stay tuned for the 1900 series covered hoppers to be announced hopefully in February from InterMountain.

This is great news, to bad they're HO cars but great news :) (just kidding)
What really warms my heart is the fact that the Intermountain folks were willing to work Jayrod and JZ to get 100% accurate artwork for the hoppers. It's a real win/win for all of us. Now I'll patiently wait for the "N" scale cars. :)

I'll inquire to see if there are any future plans for N scale P&WV cars. I would definately pick some up.

The good news is, yes, they'll do the N scale cars... eventually. However, don't hold your breath until the announcement - probably gonna be a while. |

Jayrod, thanks for the update. At least that have the "N" scale cars on the to do list. I understand these things don't happen over night and it may be until next year before we even see "N" scale cars, but they are on the to do list yea :)
