Well this does look like a first class site for the old Hi-Line! It has more features than any other I think that I have ever seen! Now the chalenge will be to get some folks on here with info, memory, and material from the old P&WV. Anyone have any idea how many ex P&WV employees are still alive in 2005? Ones that hired out before N&W. Could not be more than 75 or so! |

Mike thanks for the nice comments on the site. There has been a P&WV retirement group( Dinner/re-union) for many years. They meet about once-a-year or so, and sometimes invite guests. Over last few years I have been invited and also ask to help with entertainment programs. They get about 60 or 70 to attend. About 25 or 30 are pure P&WV past employees. Others are very early N&W folks who worked at Rook. They are truely an interesting bunch. Great Story tellers. On this board we hope to share these tall-tales and first-hand information they have given us. (Hey, Longview or Bowest, or Billy...if your out there jump-in and tell Mike and the others about Last Year's get together). We are going to add to the Menu a History(Cliff-Note style) with the next up-date. Also some Hi, Tech-stuff JR is working on, in a few weeks or so many of the largest search engines(Yahoo, Google and several others will all link, and point to our site for P&WV info, WE Hope. |
