Did a quick drive-by/pre-photo-shoot plan, along the entire Westland Branch this AM.

WOW!
Work along the entire branch now in full-over-drive!
...@ Westland Yard, the long pre-fab loading & transfer docks/platform frames
are "going up" at a rapid rate. Looks like each dock(s) 15-20 tank-cars- long
both sides???
...@ the entire Branch ROW areas, massive grading & culvert/drainage work.
...@ Johnson Road/Big Cut, very busy, large side-grading/pile driver type equipment.
...@ Southview, near the future (Southview Rd. grade crossing) big re-taining wall &
active cut work in the ROW curve.
...@ the "new bridge", painted black & finishing steel-work completed.
Major ROW bridge approach, and
grading work to the WLE main connection and switch-area.

(Galinti Road & parking area Closed)
(Southview Road major delays at times)

...a word of caution! At this point we WOULD NOT advise fans to visit
these construction sites during working hours. Just too much construction-
stuff
going-on to be safe.

Maybe, if all goes to plan Sat/Sunday?, we will try an up-date shoot & post.

I guess they're really shootin' for that June completion date. As of a couple months ago I figured there's no way they'd make it but, with the mild winter and all, they just might.
