My Uncle, Samuel J Albright passed away Today, 5-17-11, known as Jay, Jimmy and Sam he worked on the PWV in the late 30's 40's with time out in the Marines during WWII and into the early 50's. Sam suffered a Stroke back on April 11, his son said the last few days he was happy when taking about Trains and Fire trucks, he was a past VFD Cheif/fireman in the Bridgeville area.

Very Sorry to hear of his passing. Samuel "Sam" Albright.
A name well know in the P&WV Employee Family.
Very well known with the P&WV train crews.
Nice picture of "Sam" in the High & Dry book, page 198.

That Sam Albright might have been his father Sam Albright, my Grandfather. Sam #1 work on the PWV for 50 years. Uncle Jay-"Sam" as he was know after Grandpap passed away in 1957 worked in the Mechanical/locomotive Dep't most on Steam, with the coming of the Diesels he left and went to work in the steel Industery. If you get a chance I'd like to see that Photo.
