Hey, thanks for the nice Action Video's. We enjoyed them.

I have not videoed any R.R. stuff since about late 04'.
Did some very extensive stuff on the WE action from 1990-2004.
We have about 14-16 hrs. of interesting & detailed assortment of W&LE movements,
both foreign visitors and run-thur power, all shot on the P&WV main & branch lines.
We have some interesting Pgh. Industrial R.R./Pgh.& Ohio Central,
Union R.R. @ Mifflin/Clairton Jct. and some AVR/SWP, as well.

We would like to share ALL of this video on the Hi-Line site,
but at this point, we just have too many other projects on the table.
Maybe we should appoint a Hi-Line "Video Czar".
With only limited supervision/direction from the web-masters,
the Czar would have access to all the originial VHS tapes.
His job would be to transfer tapes to disc, edit, crop & post the material on the Hi-Line.

I currently have a potential promotion at work on the table.

Once that is sorted out maybe we can explore a little further.

BTW, I found six(6) two hour VHS tapes so far. I have not viewed these for at least 12 years or so.
A nice range of material(1990-95') in this first bunch.
Good color & sound, and very interesting locations & trains. Not "run- of- the- mill" shots.
The sound quality is great!
In 1990 I had purchased a Radio-Shack Scanner and attached it to my RCA Cam-recorder.
Some neat Crew & Dispatch chatter that is matching the train video/sound action .
A wide assortment of...

Grain Trains with helpers, Coal, Coke, & Slab Trains w/helpers. Lots of steel, scrap & tank car moves.
NS-stacks , CSX detour run-thur, some W&LE MOW and special movements as well.
These were found in a fast-quick-look thru of 3 tapes.

I think maybe a DVD of current era activity on the PWV is in order. I have a friend who produces railroad videos that might be willing to do the work. He usually only works with his own footage but he would probably make an exception.
