The P&WV Hi-Line

Hi-Line folks,
Your web-masters are working on some P&WV archive ideas and future up-dates.
We have another complete pile of “Work Train Orders/ Reports” for all of 1953.
These include additional interesting historical information on the steam-to-diesel transition era.
Since JR has all scanner/hardware settings already in place,
we thought this would be a somewhat easy up-date task to complete.
Our next step will be to collect & present the
MOW rolling stock images to complete & share this work train segment.

Still collecting info and images for the part-III Caboose series.

The next major Archive Project may include the AFE/AFR Co.
reports from 1937-1964. We have found about 80% of this collection.

With so much P&WV Archive Material
on-hand , and yet more to arrive, we are going to need help sorting-thru and protecting this historical material.
A suggestion we have is to get Hi-line Members/Visitors involved. An informal “Archive Work Party Program”
… get together every few weeks or so, sort documents and place in acid-free
plastic sleeves & binders. Interested fans can put as much/little time as they can afford
in this hands-on project. More details still need to be worked-out.

How many P&WV Hi-Line folks would have interest
in this once-in-a-life-time historical project offer?
