as of this date, mikado 1052 is nearing completion. locomotive constuction is complete, and is in primer. The tender is 100% waiting for servicing on the coal dock. Hydrostatic test will be done next week, and photos of the finished engine will be posted soon. Thanks for watching.

When are the Broadway Ltd. P&WV Steamers coming out in HO? I think that is supposed to be a Mikado class, but not sure. Will these be the first ready-to-run steamers in P&WV, or has there ever been a brass model done?

The Broadway Limited Co. Mikado model that you mentioned could not be more wrong. The appliances are not right, the color is wrong, the lettering in wrong. In short it's a nice toy but far from an accurate scale model of a P&WV heavy Mikado. Maybe someday someone will get it right. My 1052 Mikado is accurate and we will photograph them side by side to see the differences, and they are many.

Thanks,
Chuck

Huh! Not surprised! People have been going nuts for Broadway Ltd. stuff and frankly for the 300.00+ range other plastic RTR models ar just as good or better! The Pennsy steamers all look pretty good, but the E-8 diesels are way over priced as compared to Life Like and a few others. But the Broadway Ltd. can not keep up with the demand, or make that China can not keep up with the demand!
