Gentlemen,
Some pics from the excursion on 10/20. WE 103 pulled from Rook to the Mon River bridge then pushed back to Rook.
Between the AVR interchange at Bruceton and the Clairton branch 103 wasn't working too hard going downgrade.
Railings on the Mingo Creek bridge are showing their age.
Mon-Fayette Expressway and autumn foliage from Mingo Creek bridge.
Entering the Temple Tunnel.
Inside Temple Tunnel.
From the bridge over the Mon at Speers.
From the bridge over the Mon at Speers. 103 caused a minor fire involving a few ties.
Pushing back towards Longview. 103 was working hard going uphill.

What a great day for a train ride. Your pictures were great! I know we would all like to see some more.

Was this open to the public? If it was, I'm sorry I missed it |

It wasn't open to the public, it was for WE customers. It would be great if they could do public excursions and make money doing it.
I have more pictures to post. |
